St. Cloud Fire Station 6 and Training Facility

St. Cloud Fire Station 6 and Training Facility Project Details:

In early 2025, ICS was hired by the City of St. Cloud to provide CMa services for a new two-story Fire Station 6 and an adjacent five-story training facility on a five-acre site, envisioned as a long-term regional hub for the community. Partnering with OPN Architects, ICS is working with the City in the design phase to refine the final design and project cost.

The station will include three drive-through apparatus bays, plus two additional bays for the department mechanic, as well as apparatus support spaces for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), tool storage, a workroom, hose tower, and mezzanine storage. The mechanic area will feature offices, work areas, and parts storage. Firefighter living quarters will provide eighteen individual bunk rooms and a Battalion Chief’s bunk room with a private office and restroom. Other amenities include a dayroom, kitchen and dining area, fitness center, laundry, administrative offices, training room, breakout spaces, restrooms, general storage, and a community trailhead facility.

The five-story training building will support live-fire and simulated training scenarios, with spaces designed to replicate a detached house, commercial storefront, office, apartment, and specialized entanglement training. Site features include parking, outdoor patios adjacent to the kitchen/dining, a fitness center, and a breakroom for staff use.
