Safety Week Activities

National Construction Safety Week 2025 was a huge success, filled with learning, teamwork, and plenty of fun! From kicking off each day with a Stretch and Flex session to engaging in hands-on jobsite safety activities, our teams embraced the importance of safety in every aspect of our lives. Some of the highlights from the week include a competitive Step Challenge, a Family Home Scavenger Hunt, Emergency Preparedness Drill for each office, and a company-wide Kahoot Safety Trivia.

We wrapped up the week with an Employee Appreciation Lunch to celebrate everyone’s participation and their dedication to safety. Thanks to all who joined in, your enthusiasm and commitment made it a week to remember!

Safety Week Stories

We proudly showcased stories and moments from ICS employees’ firsthand experiences that demonstrate why safety is at the heart of everything we do, reflecting our shared commitment to protecting one another and fostering a culture where safety comes first. Throughout the week, we continued to share safety insights and personal accounts that highlighted the importance of looking out for ourselves and each other, because safety is more than a protocol, it’s a mindset.

Step Challenge

Our National Construction Safety Week Step Challenge, Double the Steps, Double the Safety, was a fun, competitive, and high-energy event that had everyone on the move! Participants were paired up, for the challenge and were tasked with having the highest total of steps throughout the week. All 14 teams brought their A-game, pushing themselves to rack up steps while learning the importance of incorporating movement into daily routines for overall well-being and safety. A huge congratulations to Sean Donohue & Iuliana Erdogan of team “Chafing the Dream,” for leading the pack with an impressive 206,857 steps — an incredible feat! Coming in second place with 183,780 steps was Lindsay Sather & Todd Wetzel of team “Strut Squad. And let’s not forget the award for Best Team Name, which goes to Tara Hendrickson & Magdalena Means with “Here Come the HOT-Steppers.” Thanks to everyone who participated, you made it a week to remember!

ICS Jobsite Training

There was a variety of engaging and informative activities held across our jobsites, during National Construction Safety Week, where each site brought important safety topics to the forefront in a fun and interactive way. From fall protection & PPE to hazardous chemicals, ladder safety, and excavation awareness, each day focused on practical knowledge that helps keep everyone safe on the job. Teams also explored topics like housekeeping, brain matters, SWPPP, and concrete & earth moving equipment, sparking great discussions and hands-on learning.

While the week was packed with valuable takeaways, it was also a great time to connect, share stories, and strengthen our commitment to a culture of safety together. To explore more safety resources, be sure to check out the Safety page.
