Matt Ries – Professional Engineer
We’re excited to announce that Matt Ries, an Energy Engineer on our Technical Services team, is officially a licensed professional engineer! Matt joined ICS in 2018 with a master’s in mechanical engineering degree from the University of Minnesota and has been a great addition to the team.
With the support of his team and ICS, Matt put in the work needed to pass the exam in February.

Dana Fontaine – 2021 Minnesota State Patrol’s Meritorious Citizenship Award
We’re proud to announce that Dana Fontaine, Director of Technical Services, was recently awarded the 2021 Minnesota State Patrol’s Meritorious Citizenship Award.
This award is presented to individuals other than State Patrol employees who’ve assisted in providing a significant service to the public. That’s exactly what Dana and his wife did when they came across an overturned vehicle in northern Minnesota in September 2021. Working with 911 dispatchers and performing CPR until paramedics arrived, they helped save this individual’s life. You can read more about the award and the details behind why Dana received it here.
Dana said, “we don’t think we deserve an award, because to us, this is just what people should do. As far as our company values are concerned, that’s our culture, we care. We’re caring people and when we saw someone that needed help, instincts just took over.”

Sean Donohue – Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) and AMA Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) in Digital Marketing
We’re proud to announce that Sean Donohue, a Marketing Specialist out of our Minneapolis office, was recently certified by not one, but two marketing organizations! Sean is now a Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) through the Digital Marketing Institute and a Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) certification through the American Marketing Association.
“Digital marketing is what I’m passionate about. These two certifications were my main professional goals, and I’m proud to bring lessons learned to my job and those around me. Since I started the process to acquire these certifications, I’ve felt more passionate and energized about marketing as a whole and the work we’re doing at ICS!”
These certifications will help move ICS into the digital marketing space, enhance our social media sites. This will help ICS further understand data to make informed decisions, and help develop cohesive digital marketing campaigns.
